Day Four

Keto flu is almost as bad as the real flu. But I'm just about over it and expect to get that wonderful, euphoric feeling again soon. Electrolytes! It's what our bodies crave! I have drank more water than should be possible but it's entirely necessary. My kidneys feel good again. I was starting to pee only twice a day this past week (too much soda and alcohol) and it was really wearing on me to not pee 8 times a day like I am now. And it's almost clear which is my main goal.

I am definitely feeling less bloated and my IBS is already improving greatly. I think I may have doomed myself a little out of convenience by eating an Atkins bar and having an Atkins shake. Those things should wait until after full ketosis it's reached and even then, had sparingly. The sugar alcohols, while they don't contribute to net carbs, can wreak havoc on your digestive system. But, I still feel better than 5 days ago and the convenience is needed while I stay in this tiny studio hotel room.

We'll get a real house again hopefully in the next few months and then I can really get back to some keto cooking.
